Earthquake repairs to all 47 of the existing units, the residents lounge and the garages, including ancillaries at 16 Dundee Place. The units varied in sized between 1 and 2 bedroom units. Works was split into stages, 8 units formed a block, and there was 7 stages. Stages were introduced to keep the residents/tenants needs at best interest to not over complicate the repairs whiles the residents/tenants were still living in their homes.

The repairs included Plumbing and Electrical inspections to ascertain the condition of the existing services, plastering and painting to the interior works of the units and a full repaint to the exterior of the two storey blocks of units and painting the roofs. Ancillaries works involved Asphalt driveway and concrete footpath removal and replacement and uplifting and relaying pavers at varies places around the complex.

All the scope of work items were completed in the timeframe with the exception of the roof works. Initially the scope of works was to repaint all the roofs in this complex, this proved difficult with the surrounding environmental aspects (large deciduous trees), the repair strategy changed to replacement of the roofs.

The client was extremely happy with the way Watts & Hughes handled their requests to change the repair strategy, and they were very pleased with the outcome of the project.
