The St Johns Courts Project is a social housing complex located at St Johns Street in Woolston, Christchurch. It consists of 13 one-bedroom single story units separated into 4 blocks. The works consisted of earthquake and essential repairs, including insulation upgrade to ceilings, remedial repair works to wall cracks and opened wall joints, re-gib works, internal painting, electrical and plumbing checks repairing any essential repairs and new floor coverings where required.

Exterior works included raking and repointing earthquake damaged mortar joints and painting the entire complex. The roof structure was made of concrete tiles which were cracked and damaged and needed replacing. We value engineered / consulted with the CCC, and discovered it would be more beneficial and cost saving to remove the concrete tiles and install roof framing ready for a lightweight colorsteel roof, which is less prone to earthquake damaged. We also completed hard landscaping works, including new footpaths, bridge repairs and resurfacing the carpark. The contract works was split into 4 stages, with approx. 3-4 units being completed at each stage.
