Watts & Hughes were invited by Mortlock McElroy Architects to tender for upgrade / refurbishment works to the existing KFC restaurants in Rangiora, Riccarton, Timaru, Gore & Dunedin South.

The general scope of works for each restaurant were very similar. The scope of works for KFC Riccarton consisted of an internal décor upgrade to the restaurant and toilet areas along with some new fittings and front of house interior fitout. The external works involved a full store repaint, entry canopy works, drive thru canopy works, outdoor seating upgrade, site works (asphalt remedial) and ACCOYA feature element added over existing cladding.

The client advised that they wanted to keep the store operating throughout the entire contract period so programming was critical in completing the works and meeting the client’s requirements.
