Onehunga Primary School
New 15 Space – Classroom Block, Three Storey, with 45 basement carparks, extensive demolition and remodel of existing buildings- (staged-Live School environment). Associated new infrastructure (services), pavements and soft landscaping.
The project comprised standard strip and leg retaining wall footings, with precast walls used to form the basement car park. Structural steel frame superstructure and long run metal _”warm roof”. The first, second and third floor level was formed using precast double TT flooring with concrete topping & unispan flat slab. Exterior cladding was a mix of brickwork and Trespa High Pressure Laminate panels.
Interior works consisted of painted gypsum board wall linings, suspended ceilings with vinyl and carpet tile floor coverings. Feature areas included Autex decorative, acoustic wall panels.
Upon entering the open atrium- main entrance you are met with an inviting new reception and administration area.
Configuration of new teaching spaces beyond and above, all lead onto generous covered exterior decks and stairwells. Extensive covered, outdoor spaces are provided at all levels to maximise opportunities for outdoor gear
