This was the full refurbishment of the Rotorua Hospital Perinatal ward involving new bathrooms, updated suites with new flooring and wall vinyl, new doors services and hardware. Rooms were fully fitted out with new joinery and walls and ceilings had a fresh cost of paint. The staff had a new office constructed with new joinery, air conditioning and suspended ceilings. The programme was made to fit within a narrow window of opportunity and was completed on time to the satisfaction of the client. Works were carried out in a hospital environment with extreme care and consideration given to staff and patients at all times. The budget was agreed with the client as we proceeded due to time pressures but was carried out in an open and collaborative way to ensure excellent value for money and full clarity at all times.
