At Watts and Hughes, we believe in the importance of giving back to the community and supporting the environment. Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting our traditional tree planting day at Wairakei School, a day filled with fun, teamwork, and giving back.

In collaboration with Outerspace landscapers, we donated plants to finish off the area outside the school hall. It was a joy to see the transformation of the space and know that our efforts will benefit the school community for years to come.

The highlight of the day was seeing dirty hands, full tummies, and happy children. Our team cooked up a sausage sizzle for all the children in the school, and it was heartwarming to see the smiles on their faces as they enjoyed the food and camaraderie.

We are incredibly grateful to Wairakei School for allowing us to spend the day with their students. It’s moments like these that remind us of the importance of giving back, getting our hands dirty and spending time with the future generations who can make a difference.
