Upgrade and partial refurbishment of the existing Main Kitchen, being Building 09, located within the Whakatane Hospital campus. The refurbishment works primarily involved removal and replacement of the three chillers (cool rooms) and the replacement /relocation of the freezer, and included the provision of a temperature controlled Café Prep./Sandwich Prep. area, all within the Main Kitchen building envelope. The work was carried out in stages and the Main Kitchen was to remain operational during the whole of refurbishment works.
