This facility provides the kitchen and ancillary works for the entire hospital complex. Works include kitchen meal preparation areas, cool and cold rooms, inwards goods, dishwasher area, associated offices, staff rooms, toilet/change rooms and linen storage/distribution. Significant excavation was required to align the new building with the lower levels of the existing hospital block and approximately 40,000 cubic metres of material was removed before works could start. Services include medical gases, mechanical water, domestic water, security, data, communications, diesel automation and full BMS.
