Various weathertightness issues have been identified in several ‘blocks’ and following various invasive and follow up visual inspections & reports a total of 7 buildings have been identified as requiring remediation work under the Ministry of Education’s Weathertightness Remediation Programme.

Weathertightness remediation work will be carried out on each of the seven buildings. The extent / scope of remediation for each building varies, and includes interventions such:

• Roof & guttering repairs / replacement
• Cladding repairs and / or replacement including removal of decaying timbers where required
• External window repairs / replacement
• Ground clearance adjustments at building perimeter
• Ground moisture barriers
